Eurolux Timber Windows
Eurolux Timber Window is an openable fire protection window.
3-glazed energy efficient window conforms to the fire resistance class EI30: it is resistant to fire for at least 30 minutes; it also serves as a heat insulator, so that the average temperature of the surface on the opposite side of the fire will not exceed 140°C. The fireguard window has been given the EI30 classification in accordance with the EN 16034:2014 standard.
Eurolux Timber Window:
Test sizes 1120 x 2470 mm enables us to manufacture regular size windows as well as window based balcony door solutions. The sash has tilt and turn functions with additional micro ventilation possibility. Hardware is ROTO concealed hinges and espagnolette system.
NB! It is important to understand that while window is left opened (or ventilation position) it does not perform as fire protection window; product does not have automatic closing system in case of fire.
The window is equipped with triple insulated glazing unit which includes 17 mm laminated Contraflam EI30 fireprotection glass. In addition fire resistant sealers and gaskets are used. Surface treatment is done with water based wood paints as regular windows and doors.
For houses with high energy efficiency Prestige Aluclad has developed inward opening 88 mm window with thermal transmittance Uw = 0,74 W/m²K

In addition to timber window, the Window is available with external aluminum cladding.
Contraflam fire resistant glass is temperature sensitive:
Contraflam EI30 fire resistant glass is used in the Eurolux Window – Contraflam glass can be used in temperatures between -10oC…+45oC. On lower temperatures than -10C the glass freezes and becomes obscured. On higher than +45C the glass starts to react to high temperatures and turns white. This means that Eurolux Fireguard window is neither suitable for rooms which are not heated during cold season nor the rooms where above normal temperatures could occur – i.e. saunas, boiler rooms etc.
